3 Dead and 8 Injured Following Single-Vehicle Collision near Northgate Boulevard

SACRAMENTO, CA (June 19, 2023) – Wednesday night, a fatal car crash on San Juan Road claimed the lives of Alexander Leon, Zayden Mangram and Rayshawna Armstrong.

The fatal accident happened around 8:15 p.m. on May 31st. Authorities said that a driver allegedly lost control along the 900 block of San Juan Road before crashing into a tree.

Witnesses to the crash immediately rendered help to get the occupants of the vehicle out until paramedics arrived.

Despite life-saving attempts, three people died from their injuries in the crash. Police identified the victims as 5-year-old Alexander Leon, 3-year-old Zayden Mangram and 25-year-old Rayshawna Armstrong.

Meanwhile, 8 others sustained injuries ranging from moderate to major injuries and received treatment in the hospital. Their identities are currently withheld.

Furthermore, officials arrested Precious Flowers, 28, of Sacramento on suspicion of three counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and nine counts of child endangerment.

An active investigation is still ongoing at this time, but police believe speed played a role.
