Two-Vehicle Accident near South Palm Street Left One Motorcyclist Dead

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 15, 2023) – Late Thursday night, a 20-year-old rider died and police arrested Samuel Gonzalez in a DUI motorcycle collision on East Tropicana Avenue.

The accident happened around 11:35 p.m. on June 1st along E. Tropicana Avenue near South Palm Street.

As per Nevada State Patrol, a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado was driving west on E. Tropicana Avenue when it turned left onto South Palm Street and collided with a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle.

First responders rushed the motorcyclist to Sunrise Hospital’s Trauma Unit for treatment for life-threatening injuries.

Tragically, the rider, who was only identified as a 20-year-old man, died at the hospital from his injuries.

Meanwhile, the Silverado’s 31-year-old driver, identified as Samuel Gonzalez, showed signs of impairment and was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on DUI charges.

No further information is available at this time, however, an active investigation is underway.
