15-Year-Old Willow Glen High School Student Killed in Pedestrian Crash near Pebble Beach Drive

SAN JOSE, CA (June 14, 2023) – Wednesday morning, Justin Estira was killed in a pedestrian collision on Rinconada Drive.

The incident occurred shortly before 1:00 a.m., at the 2400 block of Rinconada Avenue. 

Per reports, the driver of a northbound 2019 Subaru sedan was heading through a parking lot at a slow speed when they struck a pedestrian.

First responders arrived and pronounced the pedestrian, 15-year-old Justin Estira, dead at the scene. The San Jose Unified School District stated that Estira was determined to be a student at Willow Glen High School.

Police determined that both the victim and the driver involved were at a party that night. However, the location of the party remains unknown. Authorities said the female driver, identified to be in her late teens, could face charges. Although, the charges are being reviewed by the Santa Clara County District Attorney.
