Colleen Caryn Martin Pronounced Dead Following Hit-and-Run Crash near Camelback Road [Phoenix, AZ]
54-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck and Left Dead by Hit-and-Run Driver near 27th Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (May 30, 2023) – Tuesday night, police responded to a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of Colleen Caryn Martin.
On May 16th, at around 9:30 p.m., officers received a call about a pedestrian that was fatally struck near the intersection of 27th Avenue and Camelback Road.
Furthermore, officers arrived at the scene and found 54-year-old Martin lying on the highway with extreme injuries.
Consequently, Martin was instantly transported to the hospital where she later died due to the extent of her injuries.
Unfortunately, the officers were not able to locate the vehicle involved in the area. They are still seeking the suspect.
Investigation showed that Martin crossed mid-block along Camelback Road when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound which later fled the scene upon impact.
No information about the vehicle or the suspect was released at this time. Further investigation is still ongoing.
