Collision near Telegraph Canyon Road Claims the Life of 23-Year-Old Francisco Guzman

CHULA VISTA, CA (May 26, 2023) – On Wednesday morning, at approximately 6 a.m., a 26-year-old motorcyclist, Francisco Guzman, was fatally involved in a motorcycle crash with a tow truck.

According to the police, the motorcyclist crashed into the tow truck and the impact caused him to suffer extensive wounds.

Guzman, riding north in a Chula Vista carpool lane, encountered a pickup truck that abruptly changed lanes near Telegraph Canyon Road.

Furthermore, responding officers and paramedics performed life-saving efforts for the rider, who died.

Additionally, I-805 was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

The authorities released no other information, and the crash is still under investigation.
