Vehicle-Truck Collision near Hunt Highway Left 8 Injured

CHANDLER, AZ (May 24, 2023) – Saturday morning, a two-vehicle crash near Arizona Avenue left several people with injuries.

The incident occurred on May 6th just before 6:00 a.m. on State Route 87 involving a sedan occupied by two people and a truck with 6 occupants.

According to the authorities, the two vehicles collided causing injuries with both parties ranging from moderate to life-threatening wounds.

Furthermore, there were children involved but police have yet to confirm their number.

Consequently, the deputies blocked the northbound lanes of the highway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties but it was reopened by noon.

The cause of the crash was not yet released by the authorities and an active investigation is underway.
