Man and Donna Munoz Dead after Motorcycle Accident on Mission Bay Drive [San Diego, CA]
Two Fatally Struck in Motorcycle Collision near Dana Landing Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 22, 2023) – Thursday morning, a man and Donna Munoz were killed in a motorcycle accident on West Mission Bay Drive.
Police responded to the scene shortly before 9:00 a.m., near Dana Landing Road.
According to reports, the driver of a westbound black Toyota Prius attempted to turn right onto Dana Landing Road. There, the rider of a Honda CBR600RR motorcycle tried to pass the driver and struck the vehicle.
The impact ejected the rider from the motorcycle onto the road. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 34-year-old male rider dead at the scene.
In addition, paramedics transported one of the five occupants inside the Prius to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, crews later pronounced the 39-year-old woman who was in the front passenger seat, dead.
In addition, another woman inside the Prius sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the 42-year-old male driver and two juveniles inside remained unharmed.
