Carson Man Pronounced Dead Following Auto-Pedestrian Collision near Nye Lane
CARSON CITY, NV (May 16, 2023) – 68-year-old Proseso Torres from Carson City tragically died in a pedestrian crash on US 50 last March.
The incident occurred happened on March 2nd at around 6:17 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Nye Lane.
According to the State Patrol, Torres was walking outside a marked crosswalk when a silver Ford Explorer traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 struck him.
Despite immediate medical attention, paramedics pronounced the victim, Proseso Torres of Carson City, died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver involved remained and cooperated with the police. No further information is available at this time.
Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
The cause and factor of the fatal pedestrian collision remain under investigation.
