Two-Vehicle Collision near G Street Officer and Two Civilians Injured

FRESNO, CA (April 18, 2023) – Friday morning, a patrol car crash on Fresno Street left three people injured.

The incident happened on April 14th, at around 8:30 a.m. in downtown Fresno.

According to reports, the police officer was responding to a call regarding a suspect with a gun near the federal courthouse. On his way to the scene, he collided with a Honda occupied by two people. The police cruiser then continued into a wall of an underpass and hit a traffic light. 

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the Honda’s driver and passenger to a hospital. Meanwhile, the officer drove himself to a hospital for treatment of a hand injury.

Following the collision, Fresno officials closed the roadway at Fresno Street and G Street as crews investigate the incident.
