25-Year-Old Pedestrian Hospitalized after Motorcycle Crash near Grand Avenue
PACIFIC BEACH, CA (April 14, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a pedestrian crash on Mission Boulevard left one person with injuries.
On March 26th, just before 2:00 a.m., officers responded to the area after receiving a report about a crash involving a motorcyclist and a pedestrian.
According to Officer Sarah Foster, a 25-year-old man attempted to cross Mission Boulevard south of Grand Avenue outside a pedestrian lane when he was struck by the motorcyclist.
Furthermore, the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was immediately transported to the hospital by the responding paramedics.
Meanwhile, footage showed that the 30-year-old rider was driving impaired at the time of the incident.
Consequently, police arrested the man on suspicion of driving under the influence. Further investigation is still underway.
