Two-Vehicle Collision in Santa Ana Left Multiple Injured, Including 3 Children and Officer

SANTA ANA, CA (April 5, 2023) – Saturday night, a suspected DUI crash on West Civic Drive left several people with injuries. 

Officers responded to the collision around 11:00 p.m. at the 500 block of West Civic Drive in the city of Santa Ana. 

Upon arrival, officers spotted a dark-colored Chevrolet Tahoe parked on a sidewalk with significant damage on the passenger side. 

Police officers discovered a Santa Ana patrol SUV with significant front-end damage at the scene.

Emergency personnel who responded to the scene rushed at least five occupants of the Chevrolet, including three juveniles, to a hospital.

Furthermore, a fellow officer rushed the SAPD officer to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Meanwhile, authorities arrested the man driving the Chevrolet for suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment.
