2 Hurt after Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 119 [Bakersfield, CA]
Drivers Suffered Minor Injuries in Traffic Accident near Taft
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 31, 2023) – Thursday night, two people sustained injuries following a vehicle crash on Highway 119.
It happened at about 6:00 p.m., at Harrison Street near Taft.
According to the BPD, a semi-truck pulling a box trailer collided with a sedan.
As a result, both drivers of the involved vehicles suffered minor injuries and they got out of their vehicles before a car burst into flames.
Furthermore, the semi-truck overturned and blocked both lanes of the Highway.
Consequently, the responding deputies blocked Highway 119 between Harrison Street and Midway Road during the length of the investigation. However the roadway has since been reopened to the public.
No other information was provided and further investigation is still underway.
