Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 580 Claimed the Life of One Person

LIVERMORE, CA (March 28, 2023) – Sunday night, one person died and another one sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 580.

The incident happened on March 19th, at around 9:20 p.m., when an Uber driver got into a fight with his passenger.

Consequently, the driver dropped off the passenger on the side of the road. There, he came in contact with a second person on the roadside. Currently, the connection between the two pedestrians, if any, remains unclear.

While on the side of the road, the two pedestrians were struck by a blue Honda Civic, and then by a big rig.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after and pronounced the Uber rider dead at the scene. Medics then transported the other pedestrian to a local hospital for unspecified injuries.

At this time, officials have not released the identities of the deceased or the injured parties.
