Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash on Taylor Street [Vista, CA]
Pedestrian Versus Vehicle Collision near Cresthaven Drive Resulted in Fatality
VISTA, CA (March 23, 2023) – Friday evening, one person was pronounced dead following a pedestrian crash on Taylor Street.
The deadly accident happened around 8:00 p.m. at the intersection near Cresthaven Drive in the city of Vista, per initial reports.
According to the investigators, a westbound Ford Escape on Taylor Street hit a pedestrian crossing east of the intersection.
Paramedics transported the male patient to a hospital where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. At this time, authorities have not made his name public, pending notification of his next of kin.
Meanwhile, the involved Ford driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Furthermore, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
