2 Injured in Traffic Accident on Del Mar Heights Road [San Diego, CA]
Four-Vehicle Accident near Carmel Valley Left Two Hospitalized
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 22, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a multi-vehicle accident on Del Mar Heights Road left two people with injuries.
According to San Diego Police Department, deputies arrived at the scene near Carmel Valley shortly before 8:00 a.m., March 15th.
Furthermore, the officers learned that a 2016 BMW driven by a 16-year-old kid was traveling eastbound Del Mar Heights when he lost control of his vehicle and veered onto the westbound lanes.
Consequently, the BMW crashed into a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Corolla. The BMW pushed back the Camry which caused the latter to strike a Lexus SUV.
Eventually, the 50-year-old driver of the Corolla suffered serious injuries while the 54-year-old Camry driver complained of pain.
Medics transported the Corolla driver to Scripps Memorial Hospital while the Camry driver to Jacobs Medical Center.
Meanwhile, the driver of the BMW and the 18-year-old driver of the Lexus did not sustain any injuries.
Further investigations are still underway.
