21-Year-Old Castaic Man Killed in I-5 Pedestrian Crash
SANTA CLARITA, CA (March 21, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a pedestrian-auto collision on 5 Freeway claimed the life of Lance Lott.
The deadly incident happened around 2:50 a.m. along the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway at the Castaic Scales in Santa Clarita.
According to the CHP, the 2019 Ford Transit 250 can hit a pedestrian walking in the northbound lanes, near the Castaic Commercial Enforcement Facility.
Subsequently, a 57-year-old man from Stevenson Ranch stopped and contacted 911.
Responding emergency personnel tragically declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Later, the coroner’s office identified the deceased victim as 21-year-old Lance Lott from Castaic. In the end, officials issued a SigAlert in the area for at least five hours.
