Brooke Jeffrey Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Stoneman Avenue [Pittsburg, CA]
Vanessa Landeros, Robert Sainez Arrested after Pedestrian Crash on Briarcliff Drive
PITTSBURG, CA (March 21, 2023) – Tuesday night, a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Stoneman Avenue claimed the life of Brooke Jeffrey.
The incident took place on March 14th, just before 7:15 p.m., near the intersection of Stoneman Avenue and Briarcliff Drive.
According to reports, 17-year-old Jeffery was crossing the street on Stoneman Avenue from Briarcliff Drive, headed to Golden Gate School. There, in the crosswalk, a vehicle struck her, leaving her with serious injuries. Passersby called the 911. Meanwhile, the suspected vehicle left the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after. Medics then transported the injured girl to a local hospital for treatment. Later, at the hospital, officials pronounced 17-year-old Brooke Jeffrey dead, due to the extent of her injuries.
Following the collision, police identified and arrested Vanessa Landeros and Robert Sainez in connection with the hit-and-run.
