71-Year-Old Lakeport Man Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Crash near North Street
LAKEPORT, CA (March 13, 2023) – Sunday evening, Craig Gunther died in a pedestrian collision on 11th Street.
The accident occurred on February 19th, at around 7:00 p.m., near North Street.
According to reports, the victim was walking westbound on the roadway when a beige 2002 Chevy Tahoe struck him for still unknown reasons.
Police responding at the scene pronounced the victim, Craig Gunther of Lakeport dead due to the impact of the crash.
On the other hand, the unidentified driver stayed and cooperated with the authorities. Police ruled out alcohol or drugs for the driver as factors in the fatal accident. However, an active investigation is still underway.
