6 Injured after Police Chase near Washington Boulevard [Harvard Heights, CA]
Four Arrested after Police Chase on Washington Boulevard and Western Avenue Ended in Multiple Injuries
HARVARD HEIGHTS, CA (March 9, 2023) – Early Tuesday morning, a carjacking incident led to a police chase near Washington Boulevard.
The carjacking occurred on March 7th, at around 8:00 p.m., in the 600 block of East 105th Street. The carjackers stole a gray Honda Accord at gunpoint.
Police later spotted the Accord at around 12:30 a.m. and attempted a traffic stop. However, the Accord fled the scene and police gave chase. After a short while, the officers pulled back and began tracking the suspects instead.
As the Accord approached the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Western Avenue, it collided with two other vehicles. The suspects attempted to flee on foot, but were caught shortly after.
The impact of the collision left six people, in addition to the four suspects, with varying injuries. Some of the victims, a 15-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl, a 14-year-old boy, and a 22-year-old woman, were treated at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported the four suspects, a 20-year-old woman, and a 20-year-old man to a local hospital for treatment.
