Man Dead after Pedestrian Crash near 10th Street West and Avenue J-4

LANCASTER, CA (March 1, 2023) – Tuesday night, a hit-and-run pedestrian crash near 10th Street West left one man dead.

The incident happened, on January 24th, shortly after 9:00 p.m., when a man walking outside a crosswalk on 10th Street West was struck by a silver sedan traveling south.

Following the crash, the driver then drove away from the scene without rendering aid to the victim.

First responders arrived to the site of the collision shortly after and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The man has not yet been identified.

At this time, it is unknown whether or not the involved driver has been identified.
