Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Cottonwood Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 1, 2023) – Early Friday morning, an unidentified man lost his life in a pedestrian accident on Mission Gorge Road.
The incident took place in the 8700 block of Mission Gorge Road shortly after 1:00 a.m., on February 10th.
Per reports, the 31-year-old male driver of a Toyota Prius was heading west on Mission Gorge when he struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street in a dark area.
Paramedics arrived and declared the male pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, officials have not released the name, age, or city of residence of the deceased victim.
Meanwhile, the driver stayed and cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary duties, officers ruled out alcohol or drugs as a potential factor. San Diego police ask anyone with further information to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
