Man and Woman Killed, 1 Arrested after DUI Collision on Woodman Avenue [Mission Hills, CA]
Two Killed in DUI Accident near Mayall Street
MISSION HILLS, CA (February 17, 2023) – Sunday, a man and woman were killed and one was arrested after a DUI collision on Woodman Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 11:40 p.m., at the 10100 block of Woodman Avenue near Mayall Street on January 15th.
According to reports, the driver of a northbound vehicle veered into the southbound lanes and struck a parked vehicle.
Medics arrived and pronounced a male passenger in the rear seat dead at the scene. Paramedics also transported a female passenger to a nearby hospital where she later died.
Investigators say the deceased victims were both in their 20s.
Following preliminary duties, police arrested the driver for DUI related charges. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway. Once available, further details will be provided.
