20-Year-Old Man Fatally Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident near Mechanic Way
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (February 17, 2023) – Sunday morning, Aaron Ruiz was killed in a rear-end collision on Etiwanda Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 8:00 a.m., at the 5600 block of Etiwanda Avenue near Mechanic Way.
Per reports, the driver of a pickup-truck slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer for reasons unknown. Upon impact, the pickup-truck became engulfed in flames.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the driver of the pickup-truck dead at the scene. The coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 20-year-old Ruiz, of Anaheim.
Investigators also say the semi-truck was unoccupied at the time. Those with additional information about the fatal incident are encouraged to contact the Jurapa Valley officials as soon as possible.
