37-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Rainy Auto Collision near Monterey Street

HOLLISTER, CA (February 6, 2023) – Saturday morning, a woman was killed and Trisha Bachman was involved in a two-car crash on Highway 156.

Police received dispatch calls in the area around 6:57 a.m., just west of Monterey Street.

Officers say the female driver of an eastbound 2019 Honda Civic was traveling at unsafe speeds on the No. 1 lane of Highway 165 in wet road conditions.

The woman then lost control of the Honda and veered directly into the No. 2 lane where she hit the guardrail.

Upon impact, the 2019 Honda was pushed into the eastbound lanes where it came to a stop after striking a 2011 Honda Civic. A good Samaritan pulled over and rendered aid to both parties and contacted police. 

Eventually, medical personnel arrived and declared the female driver of the 2019 Honda Civic, from Hollister dead at the scene. At this time, it is unknown if the driver of the 2011 Honda, 53-year-old Trisha Bachman, of Hollister sustained injuries.
