Two Dead, One Injured after Solo-Car Crash near Malaspina Road

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (February 1, 2023) – Sunday night, Riley Hans Sullivan and Rex Aziz Devenny died in a car accident on Rancho Viejo Road. 

The incident happened on January 29th, after 10:00 p.m., near Malaspina Road, just east of the 5 Freeway.

According to reports, responding officers discovered two deceased men in the front seats of a sedan. A third occupant was rushed to Mission Hospital in critical condition. 

At this time, the reasons behind the solo-vehicle crash remain under investigation. 

Authorities later identified the deceased victims as 21-year-old Riley Hans Sullivan of Creston and 19-year-old Rex Aziz Devenny of San Juan Capistrano.

No further details regarding the Rancho Viejo Road accident have been released to the public. San Juan Capistrano Officials will provide more information once available.
