Yoko Bucsit Killed, 4 Injured in Car Crash on Watt Avenue [Antelope, CA]
19-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after T-Bone Collision on Elverta Road
ANTELOPE, CA (January 30, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, Yoko Bucsit was killed and four others were hurt in a car crash on Watt Avenue.
The incident happened around 2:00 a.m., near Elverta Road on December 22nd.
Per reports, 19-year-old Bucsit was driving a white Mazda 3 west on Elverta Road. For reasons unknown, he ran a red light and t-boned a patrol vehicle that was heading north on Watt Avenue through a green light.
The impact of the crash ejected Bucsit, who was not wearing a seat belt, from the vehicle onto the road. Medical personnel arrived and transported Bucsit, of Antelope to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the three other occupants inside the Mazda suffered injuries ranging from minor to major. They were all transported to a local hospital for further treatment. In addition, the deputy suffered minor injuries and was treated at the hospital.
Following preliminary investigations, crews do not know whether or not drugs or alcohol were involved. Once available, more details will be provided.
