Teen Girl Fatally Struck in Wrong-Way Collision on Mary Ann Cleveland Way [Tucson, AZ]
16-Year-Old Girl Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash near South Atterbury Wash Way
TUCSON, AZ (January 30, 2023) – Monday morning, a 16-year-old girl was killed in a wrong-way collision on Mary Ann Cleveland Way.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m., at 11608 block East Mary Ann Cleveland Way, just west of South Atterbury Wash Way on January 23rd.
Per reports, the 16-year-old girl was driving a black Toyota Corolla east when she veered into the oncoming lanes. As a result, the Corolla struck an oncoming Toyota Tundra, driven by a man in his 30s
Due to the impact of the crash, medics pronounced the female teen driver dead at the scene. Meanwhile, crews treated the male Tundra driver for minor injuries.
At this time, police are not releasing the identity of the teen girl. An active investigation to determine more information is still currently underway. Once available, further details will be provided.
