Two-Vehicle Collision near Corcoran Area Left Two Fatalities

HANFORD, CA (January 27, 2023) – Tuesday evening, a fiery crash on 10th Avenue claimed the lives of Raul Nunez and one other person. 

Officers responded to the two-vehicle crash around 6:53 p.m., south of Niles Avenue near the Corcoran area, per initial reports. 

According to the CHP, a northbound Ford on 10th Avenue collided head-on with a Toyota going south for unknown reasons.

The impact from the collision sent the Toyota to the southbound shoulder of 10th Avenue, while the Ford overturned and started to catch on fire.

Subsequently, good Samaritans pulled over at the scene to extract the person inside the Ford engulfed in flames. 

Responding medical personnel declared the Toyota driver dead at the scene. Tragically, the Ford driver also succumbed to his injuries after being transported to CRMC. 

Authorities later identified one of the deceased victims as Raul Nunez. However, his age and residence remain undisclosed to the public. 

At this time, Hanford Officials continue investigating the 10th Avenue fiery crash.
