Minor Injured in DUI Crash near Cajon Pass Gas Station
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (January 27, 2023) – Saturday night, Kevin Williams was arrested after a hit-and-run crash on Wagon Train Road.
The incident happened on January 21st, at around 10:08 p.m., at 3260 Wagon Train Road, a Chevron gas station.
According to police, deputies responded to a call reporting shots fired. Upon arrival, authorities found that a 2021 Ford Explorer had driven into the gas station store and struck a child inside. Williams, the driver of the Explorer, then fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. As he drove away, an unidentified person fired shots at the suspect’s vehicle.
The person who used the firearm also fled the area before the authorities arrived. Responding paramedics transported the juvenile to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Eventually, deputies managed to track down the suspect along the northbound shoulder of Interstate 15.
Officers later booked 33-year-old Kevin Williams into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino for felony hit-and-run causing injuries and suspicion of DUI.
