Woman Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Jade Coast Drive [San Diego, CA]
Female Pedestrian Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Collision near Camino Ruiz
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 23, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Jade Coast Drive.
Authorities responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m., near Camino Ruiz on January 14th.
Per reports, the driver of a red or burgundy Cadillac STS failed to yield at a red light and struck a woman who was walking within the marked crosswalk.
Upon impact, the driver fled the scene and was last seen heading northbound. The female pedestrian suffered serious wounds including a significant brain bleed. Paramedics transported her to a local hospital in critical condition.
No other details about the driver were available at this time and the San Diego Police Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
