Terry Bowlin Jr. Killed in Police Pursuit Crash on Highway 168 [Fresno, CA]
Single-Car Accident near Ashlan Avenue Left One Man Dead
FRESNO, CA (January 23, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, police responded to a high-speed crash that claimed the life of Terry Bowlin Jr.
The incident happened on January 19th at around 1:50 a.m., when police saw a BMW traveling eastbound on Highway 186 at high speeds.
According to police, the driver, later identified as 46-year-old Bowling Jr., was irregularly driving at high speeds.
Furthermore, officers attempted to stop Bowlin but he increased his speed further, losing police momentarily.
Consequently, police later located Bowlin on Ashlan Avenue off-ramp, after he wrecked his vehicle off the roadway. He was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the on-ramp was blocked for several hours to allow officers to investigate.
At this time, it was not yet determined if alcohol or drugs played a role. An active investigation is underway.
