Several Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision on Jefferson Avenue

FRESNO, CA (January 20, 2023) – Wednesday morning, Rajwinder Kaur was killed in a 2-car accident on Clovis Avenue.

Authorities received dispatch calls in the area around 10:00 a.m., near Jefferson Avenue on December 21st.

Officers say the driver of a northbound Mercedes Benz made a U-turn in front of a southbound Chevrolet Malibu. As a result, the Chevy broadsided the right side of the Mercedes.

According to police, the Mercedes was occupied by three adults and four children including 44-year-old Rajwinder Kaur. Medics say Kaur was not able to survive the impact and died at the scene.

In addition, the two children occupying the Mercedes were in critical condition and two others suffered serious wounds. In addition, two unidentified adults and the Chevy driver also sustained major injuries.

Following preliminary duties, CHP said that alcohol or drugs were not potential factors.
