Enrique Garcia Arrested after Bicycle Collision on Main Street [Watsonville, CA]
65-Year-Old Cyclist Struck and Injured by Stolen Vehicle on Pacific Boulevard
WATSONVILLE, CA (January 20, 2023) – Tuesday, Enrique Garcia was arrested and a man was injured in a bicycle collision on Main Street.
According to police, officers attempted to pull over a stolen Honda near the intersection of Main Street and Pacifica Boulevard.
As officers approached the vehicle, 22-year-old Garcia jumped out and ran away. His vehicle continued traveling before eventually striking a cyclist, wedging him underneath the vehicle.
Multiple witnesses immediately rushed to lift the vehicle off of the victim. Medics say he is now recovering in stable condition. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.
Meanwhile, officers located and arrested 22-year-old Garcia with charges including possession of a stolen vehicle, reckless driving causing bodily injury, and evading a peace officer.
