Dudley S. Venable Jr Involved in Skateboard-Car Collision near Arnold Avenue

BUTTONWILLOW, CA (January 19, 2023) – Sunday evening, a skateboarding accident along Highway 33 claimed the life of Dylan Jon Dominguez.

The incident happened on January 15th, at around 5:30 p.m., on State Route 33, north of Arnold Avenue, between the cities of Fellows and McKittrick.

According to reports, Dominguez was riding a skateboard in the southbound lanes of the highway. There, he was struck by a Ford F-150 that was driven by 55-year-old Dudley S. Venable Jr. The collision left the victim with serious injuries.

Upon arrival, first responders pronounced 13-year-old Dylan Jon Dominguez, of Fellows, dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, Venable stayed at the site of the collision and cooperated with authorities. Investigators state that the dark and the rain may have been factors in the fatal crash.

In the wake of this tragedy, Dominguez’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to help support the costs of his funeral.
