25-Year-Old El Cajon Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Hit-and-Run Collision near College Avenue
LEMON GROVE, CA (January 18, 2023) – Friday morning, Leslie Nunez Rosas was fatally struck in a hit-and-run accident on State Route 94.
Police responded to the scene around 8:30 a.m., near College Avenue.
According to reports, the driver of a black sedan struck Rosas’ vehicle, pushing her car off the freeway and down an embankment. The impact also ejected Rosas from her vehicle onto the road.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 25-year-old Nunez Rosas, from El Cajon dead at the scene.
Authorities said the hit-and-run driver continued traveling before he was eventually arrested. At this time, police are investigating if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the incident.
