Pedestrian vs Bus Collision near Thunderbird Road Left One Fatality
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (January 17, 2023) – Tuesday night, a bus accident on Scottsdale Road claimed the life of 52-year-old Jamie Slocum.
According to Scottsdale Police, the fatal incident happened on January 10th, at around 7:30 p.m., along Scottsdale Road.
Preliminary investigation showed that a transit bus, traveling southbound, struck and killed 52-year-old Slocum who was in the roadway.
Furthermore, the bus driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Authorities are still unsure as to why Slocum was in the roadway, or the circumstances leading up to the collision.
Meanwhile, Scottsdale Road was blocked for several hours to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. Further investigations are ongoing at this time.
