Traffic Collision near Powerhouse #1 Kills Two Older Adults
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 16, 2023) – Friday morning, John Rodrigues was involved in a fatal two-vehicle crash on Highway 178.
The incident happened on December 31st, at around 9:22 a.m. on Highway 178.
According to reports, a 64-year-old woman, in a Toyota Corolla, made an unsafe turn while traveling west on Highway 178 near Powerhouse No. 1. She lost control, causing the vehicle to cross the double yellow lines and collide with a Ford F-150 in the opposite lane.
Unfortunately, the 64-year-old female Toyota driver from Weldon and her 66-year-old male passenger died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford F-150, 48-year-old John Rodrigues of Bakersfield, did not sustain any injuries as a result of the collision.
