44-Year-Old Marine Corps Veteran Dies in Wrong-Way Crash near Bogue Road
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (January 11, 2023) – Sunday night, Jack Alan Means Jr., was killed and Hailey Foster was hurt in a head-on collision.
The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m., on South George Washington Boulevard and Bogue Road on December 25th.
Per reports, Foster was driving a 2017 Ford Mustang while Means Jr. was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer. For reasons unknown, Means Jr. crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Mustang.
Paramedics arrived and transported 18-year-old Foster to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Meanwhile, crews pronounced 44-year-old Means Jr. dead at the scene.
Moreover, Means was identified as a Marine corps veteran, and officers say he had a dog inside his Ford Explorer. During preliminary duties, officers found empty alcohol bottles inside both vehicles.
