Two Drivers Suspected of DUI Arrested Following Fatal Car Accident near McLeod Drive
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 11, 2022) – Heidi Perkins lost her life early Wednesday morning following a DUI accident on Sahara Avenue.
The collision happened around 1:00 a.m. along the intersection of E. Sahara Avenue and McLeod Drive.
As per the Nevada State Patrol, a 1994 Ford Mustang heading east on Sahara collided with a 2018 Hyundai Accent going south on McLeod.
Both vehicles then crashed into a parked vehicle before stopping on the roadway.
Emergency crews extricated a female passenger of the Ford trapped inside the vehicle and rushed them to Sunrise Hospital with a ruptured diaphragm.
Police later confirmed the woman, 36-year-old Heide Perkins succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old Taurean Henderson Ford driver and the 35-year-old Kenneth Kaminski Hyundai driver both suffered minor injuries and both arrested for suspicion of impairment.
Moreover, the family of Perkins set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
