Bautista Decastilla Arrested after Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Goldenwest Street [Westminster, CA]
3-Year-Old Girl Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near 21st Street
WESTMINSTER, CA (January 11, 2023) – Friday night, Bautista Decastilla was involved in a fatal pedestrian crash on Goldenwest Street.
The incident happened on January 6th, at around 6:30 p.m., near 21st Street.
According to reports, Decastilla was driving in the area when he failed to yield to a family as they were crossing the street on a green walk signal. The vehicle crashed into the family leaving one of the members, a 3-year-old girl, critically injured.
First responders arrived and transported the child to Children’s Hospital of Orange County where she was later pronounced dead.
Following the crash, Decastilla turned himself in to Westminister Police Department. Authorities arrested 26-year-old Bautista Decestilla; and booked him into Orange County Jail for vehicular manslaughter and driving without a license.
