30-Year-Old Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident near Anna Street

FRESNO, CA (January 9, 2023) – Tuesday evening, Zulema Arambula was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Shields Avenue.

The deadly collision happened around 6:30 p.m., near Anna Street. 

According to a witness, a man and a woman were arguing near the intersection. Shortly after, both pedestrians ran into the street where Arambula was hit.

Paramedics arrived and transported 30-year-old Arambula to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary duties, authorities ruled out alcohol or drugs as a potential factor.
