81-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Auto-Pedestrian Collision Near Lake Mead Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 9, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a pedestrian crash on Las Vegas Boulevard claimed the life of Lalita Cuotalal.

Per Las Vegas Authorities, the accident happened around 3:50 p.m., along the 2100 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North, near East Lake Mead Boulevard.

According to the NHP, for reasons currently unknown, a passing vehicle struck and killed an elderly woman who was crossing the street at the time.

First responders arrived and pronounced the victim, later identified as 81-year-old Lalita Cuotalal, dead at the scene. 

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. At this time, Las Vegas police are investigating whether impairment was the primary cause of the accident.
