Dawn Paugh Killed, Tom Paugh Injured in DUI Crash on Cactus Road [Scottsdale, AZ]
58-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Wrong-Way Collision near Hayden Road
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (January 9, 2023) – Friday, Dawn Paugh was killed while Tom Paugh and Girard Grassi Jr. were hurt in a crash on Cactus Road.
Authorities responded to the scene around 7:10 p.m., near Hayden Road on December 30th.
Per reports, Joshua Grabek was driving a 2013 Subaru Legacy the wrong way on the northbound lanes of Hayden Road and struck a rideshare SUV.
Medics arrived and transported three occupants inside the Uber to a nearby hospital for further treatment. However, 58-year-old Dawn later succumbed to her injuries.
In addition, 60-year-old Tom and their Uber driver, 56-year-old Girard Grassi Jr. also suffered injuries.
Moreover, paramedics took Gradek to a local hosptial for precaution with minor injuries. After being released from the hospital, police arrested 48-year-old Grabek for homicide, serious DUI with wrong-way driving, two counts of aggravated assault, and one case of endangerment.
