Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 6:00 p.m., near Redwood Boulevard.
According to the police, the driver of a westbound vehicle lost control on De Long Avenue for reasons unknown. The driver continued onto northbound Redwood Boulevard, where he then struck the two unidentified pedestrians.
First responders arrived and transported both pedestrians to a nearby hospital for further treatment of moderate to significant injuries.
