Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision on 35th Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Crash near McDowell Road
PHOENIX, AZ (December 14, 2022) – An unidentified man lost his life late Sunday evening, in a pedestrian collision on 35th Avenue.
The accident happened the night of December 4th near the intersection of 35th Avenue and McDowell Road.
According to reports, a man was struck by an oncoming vehicle while crossing the street, mid-block south on McDowell.
Emergency crews arrived and declared the man dead at the scene. Officials withheld his identity, pending notification of next of kin.
Moreover, police said the driver did not render aid to the victim and instantly fled the scene. A large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Authorities are now looking for the suspect driver and asking anyone with information about the fatal pedestrian collision on 35th Avenue to contact their local offices.
