Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision on Fletcher Parkway [El Cajon, CA]
89-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near North Johnson Avenue
EL CAJON, CA (December 13, 2022) – Tuesday evening, a pedestrian collision on Fletcher Parkway left an older man with fatal injuries.
Officers responded to the scene around 6:50 p.m., at the 700 block of Fletcher Parkway near North Johnson Avenue.
According to the police, a 2014 Kia Optima struck the pedestrian for reasons currently under investigation. Responding authorities discovered the unconscious body of the victim lying on the road.
The 89-year-old man later succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital. However, his identity remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
Earlier reports claimed that intoxication from alcohol or drugs did not play a factor in the incident.
