Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident on East Flamingo Road [Las Vegas, NV]
50-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Collision near South Nellis Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 12, 2022) – Saturday evening, a man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on East Flamingo Road.
The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m., along East Flamingo Road and South Nellis Boulevard.
Officers say the driver of a 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class struck a man who was walking outside of a marked crosswalk.
Paramedics arrived and pronounced the 50-year-old man dead at the scene. Although, his identity remains undisclosed to the public.
Medics also took two female occupants from inside the Mercedes to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old Mercedes driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Following preliminary duties, officers determined that impairment did not play a factor. At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
