34-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision near South Edison Road
ARVIN, CA (December 8, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, Mario Murillo Figueroa was killed in a collision on Bear Mountain Boulevard.
The incident happened at around 12:18 p.m. near South Edison Road near the city of Arvin.
According to reports, a westbound 2014 Yamaha motorcycle attempted to pass traffic on the left while approaching the intersection. However, the motorcyclist ended up colliding with a 2021 Peterbilt semi-truck making a left onto southbound South Edison Road.
As a result, the rider sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Kern County coroner’s office later identified the deceased rider as 34-year-old Mario Murillo Figueroa of Santa Maria.
