Ruben Martinez and Six Others Injured in 4-Vehicle Crash on Highway 198 [Tulare County, CA]

Ruben Martinez Involved in Four-Vehicle DUI Collision near Exeter Boulevard

TULARE COUNTY, CA (November 30, 2022) – Friday evening, a four-vehicle crash along Highway 198 left Ruben Martinez and six other people with injuries. 

The collision happened on November 25th, around 11:00 p.m., near Exeter Boulevard. 

According to reports, the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle. The Silverado also struck two additional vehicles before coming to a stop. 

First responders arrived and transported the Chevy driver, 32-year-old Ruben Martinez, to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. 

Meanwhile, six others in the other vehicle, including five children ages 6-13, were also hospitalized.

Afterward, authorities stated that Ruben Martinez would be arrested for suspicion of DUI once released from the hospital. 

Tulare County Officials closed eastbound lanes of Highway 198 for an hour to investigate the multi-vehicle crash.
