48-Year-Old Cyclist Hospitalized after DUI Collision near 217th Street
SPANAWAY, WA (November 28, 2022) – Friday night, Kayle Millen was arrested after striking a bicyclist in a DUI crash on State Route 7.
Around 7:45 p.m., police responded to the scene after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
Officers say Millen was heading north on the freeway when she struck a 48-year-old bicyclist near 217th Street. After the impact, Millen continued driving before rear-ending a truck on 8th Avenue East.
First responders located two minors inside Millen’s vehicle who were not wearing seat belts. Police later arrested Millen and charged her with DUI, vehicular assault, and two counts of child endangerment.
In addition, paramedics transported the cyclist to Tacoma General Hospital in critical condition. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
